Ultrasound can be an inherently difficult skill and concept to learn, especially early on in medical school.  Image orientation and understanding the plane of the image compared to the 3D structure is something learners often struggle with.

We created this website with the goal of bridging this gap between fundamental anatomy knowledge and ultrasound skills. We want to help students use their knowledge of anatomy to better understand and utilize ultrasound, and vice-versa. We hope that by using more traditional imaging modalities, like CT and MRI, combined with cartoon illustrations and ultrasound images, students can begin to visualize the ultrasound image and anatomy in multiple different ways.
